Box Tree Moth

Cydalima perspectalis

Description:

Small moth (approx 2 to 2,5cm in body length) of the family Crambidae, with cream white wings with dark brown edges; very long antennae. Iridescent white body, with hairy thorax.

Habitat:

Seen underneath the leaves in town forested area.

Notes:

Native in eastern Asia, it was introduced in Europe where is considered an invasive species.
