Wallace's Hawk Eagle

Spizaetus nanus

Description:

1 juvenile seen at a distance, in first 3 pictures, then from a second tower which was much closer in pictures 4-6. It was later joined by a second juvenile. I say juveniles because there was no barring on the breast and legs. Identified by local guides.

Habitat:

Tropical Rainforest, nest in a fork near the top of a very tall tree.
