These mushrooms had tan-orange caps, cream colored stems, and cream-colored gills. The tallest mushroom was about 10cm.
Growing in clusters on rotting wood throughout a deciduous forest.
Honey fungus is a "white rot" fungus, which is pathogenic to trees and shrubs. It can grow on living, decaying, and dead plant material.
