Description:

Adults grow to just over 30cm long. Feeds on insects & seeds, known to eat small introduced mice & occasionally small lizards. Male & female similar grey toned feathers, slight brown tint to wings, dark grey beak & legs, social bird living in family groups, loves to chatter & forage, becomes tame & used to humans quickly, similar characteristics to Babblers in the way it forages, chatters, exists in family groups.

Habitat:

Found throughout inland regions of NSW, Queensland, Victoria & SA, small areas of NT. These ones found near Glenlyon Lake seed collecting in the campgrounds amongst campers.
