Orange Jelly Spot

Dacrymyces chrysospermus

Description:

Yellowish orange and white fungus growing on a cut log – most likely pine. The fruiting bodies were irregular, gelatinous blobs that were growing in small clusters. They were 3-10 mm in size.

Habitat:

On the edge of a meadow that separates a pine forest from a mostly deciduous (oak) forest.
