Description:

Possibly beginning to dry and shrink this single little fungus was growing from the bark on a large log of Pinus radiata. It looks somewhat hydrophilic on top, scaly ringless stipe, dark looking tint on gills suggests dark spore. About 35mm tall.

Habitat:

In a local nature reserve adjoining a national park.
