Small mound, approximately 1/2 inch high and 1-2 inches across. The mounds are composed of pellets which are the casting of earthworms. the earthworms surface in the evening following moderate to heavy rains.
Healthy vegetated areas that are not heavily fertilized or have been treated with pesticides.
