Description:

After the maya (eurasian tree sparrow), the second most common bird in urban areas.

Habitat:

spotted on a remote area in the city (Brgy. Conde Itaas, Batangas City) located on a mountain with a very few human residents.

Notes:

Common in gardens, urban areas and grasslands but not in mature forests.

they're common in southeast asia regions, in fact they can be seen even on urban areas. Yes, having a papaya plant do attract a lot of birds, but there's this what they call the "lipote tree" and it tops the reputation for attracting birds

This was a new species of Bulbul for me...I get a lot of Red vented and Red whiskered at home...and I was appreciating that this one was sitting on all the plants in your garden...I saw a papaya plant (I have recently planted three to attract birds.
