Celery Looper

Description:

This gray and dark brown moth has a small metallic silver mark on its forewing. Most other looper mothss also have this mark. Look for this moth in the late afternoon at flowers or at night near lights. The caterpillars eats crops or garden plants including beets, celery, lettuce, cabbage, corn and carrots.

Habitat:

Shore of man-made lake. Pyamtuning Lake, Andover OH, Ashtabula County, USA.
