Description:

A highly variable species, I live in an integrade zone between subspecies, so I am just labeling him at the species level. A yellow snake with slight black bands that get more speckled on the sides.

Habitat:

Mixed grass prairie.

Notes:

Only the second time I've seen this species, and we caught two that day.
