Hi again Ingrid. This is an excellent example of a fungi which attacks a fungi !!
The one inside would be a boletus species like your two-colored bolete but it has been overwhelmed by another called Hypomyces chrysospermus or 'The Bolete Eater' Read about it here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypomyces_c...
