Cortinarius Mushroom

Cortinarius abnormis

Description:

Mushrooms with slimy bright yellowish-orange caps about 70 mm wide. Stems were pale near the cap but stained brown through the length of it. Gills were a pale brown with dark brown specks, probably from rust-brown spores.

Habitat:

Spotted growing in small groups on damp soil under eucalyptus trees.
