Marshmallow Bolete

Fistulinella mollis

Description:

This bolete had a flat caramel coloured thin slimy cap. The fertile pore surface was thick and hung like a wet sponge. It was a pale purple with open angular pores. The pore surface became mushy like custard when touched. The narrow stipe was pale and long.

Habitat:

Spotted on damp, soft mossy forest floor - (Dandenong Ranges)
