Thank you Mark :)) all I can do is to compare with other similar spotting. I think it is a spider nest and the sticky top is a mystery, could be to attract prey.
Fascinating thing Chief.. what do you think is happening... Is the little creature (ant?) in the middle an owner or a prisoner or just a sightseer? Is it sticky on top? Is that stuff underneath fuzzy or furry? Maybe a small nest? maybe eggs inside?
