Flammula alnicola

Description:

Yellow, hygrophanous caps that were slightly sticky and rubbery. The tallest was about 7 cm tall. The stem, which was covered in fibers, was pale yellow at the apex brownish up from the base. The gills were yellow and were attached to the stem.

Habitat:

Growing alone and in clusters along the bank of the river (on tree roots) in a deciduous forest.

Notes:

This is the first spotting of this species on Project Noah
