Hyalarcta nigrescens
A pale silken bag moth case about 45mm long with a dome shaped upper part gradually tapering towards the lower end. It was attached to a gum leaf by silk. The case was ribbed along its length and stuck to the outer side were a few bits of dried flower buds and small twigs.
Open eucalyptus forest
This case moth seemed so clean and tidy compared to some others. The male moth is stated to be black with transparent wings - would be great to see one !
