Always near where the road is. The Brown Pansy or Brown Soldier, Junonia hedonia ida Cramer 1775 (Nymphalidae; Nymphalinae; Nymphaliini). The ssp. J. h. ida is distributed all throughout the Philippines.
Spotted along the Binictican forest trail located in Subic Bay Freeport Zone, Hermosa Bataan.
