Plasmodium slime mold

Description:

A white plasmodium slime mold, looked like white caviar, about 6 cm in size. In this phase a microscopic examination is needed to get a proper identification. (perhaps a Reticularia sp.)

Habitat:

On a dead hardwood tree stump in a mixed forest.

Notes:

Spotted in Kroondomein Het Loo in rural area of Apeldoorn, Holland.
