Examples of living organisms

Examples of living organisms

Your goal is to collect five pictures of living organisms over the next two weeks and upload them to our Project Noah classroom page. The five organisms you choose should each be different and interesting. For example, no dandelions! Don't take a picture of two different ladybugs! Be creative. Include notes about the habitat of your organism. Finally, use the Internet to research characteristics of your organisms, and make an attempt to accurately identify each one. Points: 100 Good luck!

We have been discussing "organisms" in our ESOL class. What characteristics does a living organism have? A mushroom doesn't move or talk, but it is considered a living organism. A car, on the other hand, makes noises and moves, but it is not alive. So what does it take for something to be classified as "alive"? We will explore that question through this project. Vocabulary words: organism; habitat
