While each flower has a wonderful story to tell, the rose stands alone in its abundance of stories and meanings of colors.
Used for hundreds of years to convey messages without saying a word, roses have been a symbol of confidentiality - the Latin phrase sub rosa (literally "under the rose") applying to said something in secret.
