TecH₂O Center- Certified Texas Wildscape The landscape is designed to not only view native and desert-adapted plants, but also some wildlife. The vast number of plants and shrubs incorporated into the garden have been planted to showcase that the The Chihuahuan Desert is full of life. Throughout the garden, there are many rock outcroppings natural water harvesting rock formations called "Hueco's". The center is a “Certified Texas Wildscape.” This means that this site provides all three basic needs for wildlife- food, shelter, and water in a way that they can readily use and easily access. In order to be certified, 50% of plants need to be native to Texas.
