MISSION: Phylum Arthropoda

MISSION: Phylum Arthropoda

You must download the app first. Take your phone or Laptop and go outside. Find an arthropod and take a clear, close up picture. Let's see who gets the best pic. This must be an original pic. We will vote as a class. Hint: many arthropods can be found on flowers and flowering grasses, weeds and shrubs. This phylum includes many Classes; spiders, insects, etc. **Poisonous spiders are not typically found on flowers and grasses, but usually found in dark, damp areas and window screens. Poisonous spiders also DO NOT make fancy orb webs. They make small messy fashioned cobwebs instead. Do NOT touch spiders if they appear brown with a fiddle marking on their back, or a red hourglass shape on their bottom of a black spider. These can be poisonous; Black Widows and Brown Recluses. Look up pics of these two before you go out. Educate yourself on what they look like. If you see them, tell your parent, today!
