FL Invasives

Invasive and non-native species cause considerable damage to Florida ecosystems, including native plant and wildlife habitat, farmland, forests, and water resources. How pervasive is this problem in Jacksonville? Let's see! You will be documenting invasive species in and around your neighborhood. First you must familiarize yourself with a few invasive species that are likely to inhabit the area around your home. http://www.eddmaps.org/florida/distribution/ Take a walk around the neighborhood, take pictures, upload, identify the species. Repeat the process. There will be prizes for most species documented.
