This mission is to create and promote awareness of this islands naturally huge biodiversity and the rate in which deforestation is occurring. With 50% of the islands land covered in rainforest and a 3.9%^ deforestation rate, the 1400 different species of wildlife and 15,000 different species of plant are rapidly losing their habitats.
