Barn Owl (Suindara)

Description:

Length 37cm, wingspan up to 90cm. Stature clear and colorful thin long white feathers spotted with gray. Umna bird is slender, long and hard heart-shaped face, unlike other owls have round. His eyes disappear in a longitudinal slot of feathers. Fingers are covered with bristles. Weight of approximately 1/2 pound. Adapted to low light vision.

Habitat:

Prefers to nest in attics of old houses, roofs and church towers, lofts and caves, sleeping by day, sometimes in palm. Attracts attention in landscapes cultificadas.

Yes however has a unique structure of the skull that separates the other owls in a special family: the "Tytonidae." Another feature is the flight. compared with the other owls, has a very low weight load on the wings (large wings to sustain a light body) that can fly more distance using less energy and also slower.
