Description:

Dark green oval shaped leaves that are thick and leather like in feel. Alternate veins with a small "bell" shape flower with five petals underneath the evergreen leaves. There is a distinct wintergreen flavor when tasted along with a strong sent when smelled.

Habitat:

This plant grows in open shade within the herb layer of a dry or moist pine wood forest.
