Borago officinalis

Description:

Bristly, upright annual. Lower leaves are stalked and in a basal rosette; upper leaves clasp the stem. Flowers five-petalled, 20-25mm across and lilac-blue with dark anthers.

Habitat:

Widespread on cultivated and disturbed land. Appears March-June.

Notes:

Also called starflower. Has medicinal purpose as well.
