The 10 white petals are actually sepals. Leaves are well below the flower in a whorl of 3 to 10 leaves palmately compound in groups of 3. They go about midway up the stem, and sometimes a pair of leaves on a flower stalk
Found in part shade in the spring. They disappear in summer.
I often find these at the base of my Hackberry trees.
