Sundew

Drosera peltata

Description:

Vascular plant - Erect or scrambling plant with peltate stem leaves (nb peltate means attached in the middle of the lamina, not the base). Leaves with an angle at each side of the base, leaves alternate and well spaced

Habitat:

Drosera peltata is a widespread and common native sundew species that grows in a wide range of vegetation, including dry grassy woodlands.

Notes:

The drosera bug nymph feeding on what the sundew has already caught , but does not get stuck by the sundew itself
