Description:

deciduous tree, height of 15-25 meters, leaves are palmate with deep notches between the five lobes, can be used for making sugar and medicine. kingdom: plantae, order: sapinadales, family: sapindaecae, genus: Acer

Habitat:

found in the northeastern United States and southern Canada, restricted to regions with cool and moist climates.

Notes:

found off of 126 in plainfield near pine trees. sugar maples reproduce by sprouts that may later, seedlings are broken down and readily sprout form from buds.grows on soils of pH 3.7
