Rhesus Macaque

Macaca mulatta

Description:

This monkey was spotted in Beijing city in the period around the 4 th. of November. These photos are from Shuangjing station. No one is sure from where the monkey comes and the newspaper tells that the Beijing Zoo says it isn't there monkey. Im not sure of the species, but he'll probably been someones pet, since no monkey are native to the Beijing area. It wasn't too tame, at least it wouldn't let the curious pass-by'ers pet him. Anyone has and idea of species and where he might come from? As far as the paper says, no one knows where he went to since he was seen at the Temple of the Sun (太阳宫).
