Lithobates clamitans
Green frog with black spotting, about 1.5 to 2 inches in length, spotted in the bed of a small, slow-flowing river. This doesn't appear to be any of the species listed on the DNR's list of Michigan species (see reference list)?
While this is a green frog as in the suggestion, the correct scientific name is Lithobates clamitans
