Unknown Fern

Description:

Common epiphyte fern. I see it all the time, but dont know its name. Fronds can get 2+ feet in length. Has a fuzzy orange rhizome, and is often found growing on palm trees.

Habitat:

epiphyte...woodland/wetland

Notes:

Have known this fern for years, consider it an old friend...wish I knew its name

Listed the two ID's I believe may be correct for the two ferns in the photo. The one you mention in your comment looks like a golden polypody (have also heard it called a rabbit's foot fern), Phlebodium aureum.
