Spotting

Description:

I know its a millipede, but the ones I know are red and shiny. This one looked like a cross between a centipede and a millipede. Its segments were somewhat devided. I did not see it when uncurled as it sneaked away when I was distracted.:-)

Habitat:

Malaysia Jungle Highland area.

Notes:

I found it in our damp and cold hotel room. It was curled up already. I waited a long time and finally he opened up a bit and when I wasn't looking it sneaked away. The first ( darker) picture was with the door closed. Second picture was taken with door open , so real light coming into the room.

Perhaps it is a 'Flat-backed Millipede'. Order Polydesmida.
