San Diego actually is really temperate because of its proximity to the ocean. However, there can be fairly hot days. SDZ provides them with cold water and air conditioned shelter to escape the heat.

Wonderful series

shouldn't they have their habitat cold? I realize they are in a zoo, but I would think California would be too hot for them.
