Six-lined racerunner

Cnemidophorus sexlineatus

Description:

approx. 6 inches long, male in breeding colors

Habitat:

spotted in scrubland sanctuary

Notes:

Unlike the Florida scrub lizard, which are patient ambush hunters, racerunners chase down their prey with great speed. Fortunately for me they are not as skittish (and more abundant).
