Fox Squirrel

Description:

This young squirrel is blonde in color rather than the color of normal Fox Squirrels. It appears to be otherwise normal in it’s behavior. Fox squirrels are the most common species in this area of Illinois.

Habitat:

Woodlands, city parks

Notes:

This unusual squirrel is a color variation of the fox squirrel Sciurus niger Color variation is found in many species of animals.
