I think this plant is sometimes called Brazilian Glory Bush. The leaf structure also supports the suggestion of the Melastomate family. A nice series by the way, showing the various parts: leaves, flowers and fruits

I agree with Jonathan, I think this is Tibouchina (family Melastomataceae); a tropical American genus
