it's totally okay. i have updated it's IDthanks a lot namitha!
Hi Nuwan, I am really sorry to say that I have made a mistake in ID ing this plant. It makes total sense why I couldn't find info about Emilia fosbergii in Srilanka. This spotting is that of Crassocephalum crepidioides and not Emilia, same family, Asteraceae but different genus.I also found 2 other spottings of this same species in PN http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/919....Reference sites: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crassocepha..., http://www.iewf.org/weedid/Crassocephalu...
It could be but I couldn't find any information about that. I think its okay to confirm the species. But I will try to find how it came to Srilanka. In Kerala Emilia sonchifolia is common. But I have never come across fosbergii.
thanks namitha I've updated the spotting, could it be introduced?
But the fact that this species of Emilia is not found usually in Srilanka makes me doubt whether I had made a mistake in ID ing it.
