Colorful Foliage Ground Beetle

Lebia sp.

Description:

This tiny beetle is colorful in its red, black, and white colors. About 4 mm in length. It has squared off wing covers permitting a view of the tip of the abdomen from above.

Habitat:

I found this beetle at the edge of the yard bordering a deciduous forest.

Notes:

I'm not sure of the species. It may be Lebia fuscata, but it doesn't look red enough. I don't have any experience with these beetles as this being the first one I've ever found, so if anyone has a suggestion, I'd be happy to hear it.
