The plant is a large herb and grows from rhizomes.The flower is a long, erect stalk with white buds. When it opens one petal is large; streaked in golden brown.

Habitat:

Growing in a clump on land lying empty.

Notes:

Leaves are definitely aromatic...cardamom like.
