Ant-lion

Myrmeleon sp.

Description:

Thin stick-like abdomen reminded me of a damselfly, but the transparent wings enclosed and extended beyond the body. Large eyes.

Habitat:

It rested almost invisible against the stem of Veronia cinerea...and did not move or try to evade me as I photographed it.

Notes:

Thanks to Davidbygott I know it is Family Myrmeleontidae
