Description:

Red squirrel that we saw jumping in trees.

Habitat:

Páramo. We saw the squirrel in september and it was really dry.

Thanks for your reply pirucreaciones! The Guayaquil Squirrel is not only found in Guayaquil; it is endemic to southwestern Ecuador and northwestern Peru. If you check the link in my suggestion you'll see it's found in the Provincia de Loja, where yours was also spotted.

Daniele Im not sure is a guayaquil squirrel and we were far way from that city, but thanks for the suggestion.
