found on top of a reunion of palm trees in the Fortynine Palms Oasis
please help me identify. I think it is a juvenile sharp-shinned hawk (Accipiter striatus). and not a Cooper's hawk.

even after reading this very thourough article, I can't be hundred % sure about my preference for it being a sharp-shinned.
