Spotting

Description:

Red cone-like flower, about 5 - 6 inches tall with orchid-like flowers growing out of the side of it. The little 'cups' in the cone seemed to be holding a liquid. The leaves with long and spikey like an aloe.

Habitat:

Fairly moist forest/jungle about 900m up a mountain-side.

Thanks for the ID. I thought maybe ginger at first, but when I looked at photos on web I couldn't see any like it. But yes, this must be it!
