Congratulations Mauron, your Fragrant Hellebore is our Spotting of the Day:

"Are you in the Northern Hemisphere and longing for the end of winter? Here's an early sign: a blooming Fragrant Hellebore (Helleborus odorus), our Spotting of the Day. Helleborus is a genus of plants in the family Ranunculaceae found in Europe and Asia. The flowers of hellebores have five petal-like sepals surrounding a ring of small nectaries. In the Fragrant Hellebore these sepals are green as the blooms emerge, and progressively fade in color. This plant is native to Southern Europe and the Balkans. Blooms emerge in late winter or early spring".
