Parascorpaena mossambica
Also known as Golden Scorpionfish. This scorpionfish is identifiable by the tasseled mouth and the leaf-looking antennae above its eyes. They feed on small fish and swimming invertebrates, and grow to a length of 10cm.
Found singly or in pairs well camouflaged around inshore rock walls, crevices and sandy rocky bottoms with algae growth or sponges. Widespread in the Indo-Pacific, at depths of 1 to 20m.
This individual appears to be a juvenile. Spotted it during a day dive at a depth of about 5m, at Angel's Cove, Talikud Island.
