Black widow

Latrodectus mactans

Description:

The picture is kind of hard to see but she is a southern black widow. The northern black widow (Latrodectus variolus) has a distinct gap in between the small section of the house glass where as the southern has a complete hour glass shape.

Habitat:

I found her and her nest under a flat rock laying on the ground in a semi wooded glade area.
