Description:

Photo take at -40 ft next to a coral reef at the sandy bottom very common Red Alga in the area looks more like a coral about 15 cm tall you can find it on the coral reef and sandy bottoms as well.Bushy plants, up to 20 cm in height. Small branches extend alternately from either side of the main branches in a single plane. Light pink purple in color.

Habitat:

Grows from shallow waters to moderately depths, attached to nearly any hard substrate. Found from Florida all the Caribbean Sea , Central America to Brazil.
