Humming bird

Trochilidae

Description:

This humming bird I found in Iowa. It was in between 8 and 13 centimeters. I could tell from the long beck and green feathers that it was some sort of humming bird.

Habitat:

A hummingbird's only natural habitat (the place where they live) is in the Americas. Their range is as far north as Alaska and as far south as Chile. Most hummingbirds live in the South America. Many hummingbirds love the habitat of wooded and forested areas that have lots of flowers and well as in meadows and grasslands

Notes:

I was able to find out that humming birds usually eat about a 4:1 ratio when it comes to sugar to water. I also learned that they drink nectar from A LOT of different plants. Such as families of plants called Salvia, Abutilon, Agastache , Anisacanthus, and many more. Small insects, larvae, insect eggs and spiders are critical food sources for hummingbirds. Insects provide the fat, protein and salts the birds cannot derive from nectar, and these are crucial nutritional components

What's wrong with this hummingbird? Is it accidentally tied up in spider web? Could you assist it?
